Project Management Courses

Project Triple Constraint (Scope, Schedule & Cost Management) Day2

The triple constraint represents key elements of a project that, when balanced well, lead to success. This course covers the three constraints of scope, schedule and budget formed the basis of every project. Even the triple constraint does not tell us the whole story of the project, if any single constraint changed, the other two have to be evaluated for impact. A project manager needs to weigh one constraint against another to reach the best result based on the customer expectation and requirement.

This course describes the process involved in the scope, schedule and cost of your project. You will learn how to plan project scope, schedule and cost management and how to make a further decision based on the Earned Value Analysis.

Following major sections are addressed:

  • Plan Scope Management, Collect Requirements, Define Scope, Create WBS, Validate Scope, and Control Scope

  • Plan Schedule Management, Define Activities, Sequence Activities, Estimate Activity Durations, Develop Schedule and Control Schedule

  • Plan Cost Management, Estimate Cost, Determine Budget and Control Cost

  • Different tools and techniques used for every stage of these three areas will be explained in detail and elaborated with case studies
